Mötley Crüe recently debuted “Dogs of War,” their first new song in five years, after signing a record deal with Big Machine.
Nearly a decade ago, it seemed as if Mötley Crüe were done as a band, having wrapped up a farewell tour in late 2015. However, the 2019 Netflix biopic The dirt revitalized the veteran rock group, leading to them reuniting for an extensive tour co-headlined by Def Leppard that eventually began in 2022.

With new guitarist John 5 in the lineup, the rock legends are releasing new music again, starting with the aforementioned “Dogs of War” and the eye-catching CGI music video that accompanies it.
Mötley Crüe is also scheduled to play several headlining shows and festivals this year. The band will kick off their 2024 itinerary with a two-night performance in Atlantic City on May 3 and 4, followed by what appears to be a secret club show in New York City on May 6 and a concert at the festival. Welcome to Rockville in May. 9no. More shows will follow from June to October, including festival appearances at Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
Strong consequences I had a few minutes to speak with the four members of Crüe and discuss the new song, John 5's entry into the group, working with producer Bob Rock, and their longevity as a band. What led you to sign with Big Machine Records at this stage in your historic career?
Nikki Sixx: We didn't have a label, but we created the songs, without really thinking about the release date or any of that kind of stuff. And we have known it [Big Machine founder] Scott [Borchetta] during years. Great guy, great label. And it seemed natural. So, we're pretty excited about that.
