Nas once again showed love to Kendrick Lamar.
When Kendrick surprised the rap world with a new album last Friday (November 22), the Queens rapper was posted GNXalbum cover captioned, “Always inspired by my brother KL. Keeping the essence of this sh-t alive and at the forefront. Hail the King!”
This comes after the Compton rapper revealed in his song “wacced out murals” that the rap legend was the only fellow to congratulate him on his Super Bowl headline after he mentioned Lil Wayne's frustration video and Snoop's repost of “Taylor Made Freestyle “. “Usually for a hit Carter IIII kept my Rollie chain proud/Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down,” he rapped. “Whatever, call me crazy, everybody's questioning/Turn me into an Eskimo, I drew the line and the decimals/Snoop put out 'Taylor Made', I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn't believe it, it was right to let it go.”
Adding, “He won the Super Bowl and Nas is the only one congratulating me/All these n—-s upset, I'm glad they show their faces/Honestly, a lot of artists but they were out of date/Old-a– flows, try to convince me that they love them.”
After Kendrick announced that he would be headlining the upcoming Super Bowl, Nas took to his Instagram Story to tip his cap by reposting the video of the announcement and adding, “Congratulations to my brotha, Kendrick Lamar. Can't wait to see the party die,” referring to Dot's untitled loosie released exclusively on his Instagram account.
