Nellie The resume is often downplayed, but its impact cannot be denied. He says that the era in which he flourished was the most difficult era of Hip-Hop ever.

Vibe Magazine is reference the St. Louis, Missouri native has gotten the rap community into a heated debate. The rapper was recently a guest on The store where he joined Maverick Carter and others in a discussion not only about his career but the culture as a whole. He was quick to point out that his success since his multi-platinum debut album has been bittersweet for a few reasons. “Country Grammar I sold five million and I didn't even get nominated for best new artist,” he said.

He would go on to claim that the competitive landscape at the time was the toughest it had ever been. “When I was making songs, I had to go up against DMX, JAY-Z, Eminem, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, [Ludacris] began. “All of us are fighting for a place. So from '99 to 2008 – 2010, it's the hardest to get records. Of course his statement got the cast and guests to start thinking about that special time in Rap and while not everyone on set agreed everyone understood why the 'Ride Wit Me' rapper felt the way he did.
