Rejoice '80s and '90s babies because it looks like Netflix's upcoming live-action remake Avatar The Last Wind Fighter will be as faithful as possible to the 2000 animated series.
Netflix has released its latest trailer for the highly-anticipated series, and even with fanfare already at an all-time high, fans are going wild as the series looks to encompass everything that made the original Nickelodeon series such a mid-decade hit of 2000. Centering on the young boy known as Aang (Gordon Courmier) tasked with destroying the oppressive Fire Nation, the trailer takes us back to the fantasy world where the four nations of the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom, the Nation of Fire and Water. Tribes dominate.
With some great CGI used to create the beloved air bison Appa and the adored winged lemur Momo, you'll think Avatar The Last Wind Fighter it was a big budget Hollywood movie that will be released this summer. With some very interesting action sequences showing how the four elements are manipulated during battle along with some witty dialogue between the characters in the story, it's safe to say that this series may well live up to its reputation Avatar which M. Night Shyamalan destroyed with his own film based on the series in 2010.
