A new documentary about The Beach Boys will premiere Disney+ on May 24th, 2024.
Simply titled The Beach Boys, the documentary will follow the rise and run of the legendary California pop group, featuring “never-before-seen footage” plus all-new interviews with surviving Beach Boys members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks, and Bruce Johnston, plus Blondie Chaplin.

The film also promises interview with notable Beach Boys fans, including Lindsey Buckingham, Janelle Monáe, Ryan Tedder, and Don Was, among others. Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny directed the project.
Alongside the documentary’s release, The Beach Boys will unveil its corresponding soundtrack on May 24th. What’s more, on March 29th, the band will share a reissue of their 1964 album Shut Down, Vol. 2 on digital and physical formats, including a limited edition blue and white marble vinyl.
A new book on the band is also forthcoming: titled The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys, it’s due on April 2nd via Genesis Publications. Pre-orders are ongoing.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Brian Wilson is suffering from dementia and has been placed under a conservatorship.
