Las Vegas nightlife is about to gain substance with the grand opening of an 18,000-square-foot state-of-the-art entertainment venue in the heart of the Fremont district.
Amid the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas' world-class clubbing scene, a new contender is emerging with a raw, warehouse-inspired experience: Substance. The venue, which will open its doors in July 2024, promises a great line-up of electronic music artists, starting with an appearance on Walker & Royce's opening night.
Substance founders Marcel Correa and Joe Borusiewicz, famous for their contributions to Las Vegas nightlife through their company RVLTN, have joined forces with Insomniac Events to bring top talent to Substance each week.
Located on the second floor of the Neonopolis Complex, Substance is a marvel of modern design, combining brutalist architecture with cutting-edge audiovisual technology. The venue's low ceilings and industrial style will create an intimate atmosphere, making each event feel like an underground rave in a post-apocalyptic warehouse.
Correa and Borusiewicz shared their approach to the new venture in a press release with EDM.com.
“Growing up in Las Vegas, we have always loved our great city and its incredible potential to become a thriving local music scene,” they said. “We have attended countless shows, festivals and events here and our passion has always been serving our fellow locals. As promoters, working with various venues throughout the city has given us deep insight into what works and what doesn't, from guest experience and operations with the overall strategy.
No one likes paying $30 to park or navigate a casino just to attend an event. People don't like strict dress codes, long lines for drinks and bathroom breaks, poor sound quality, and excessive fees. At Substance, our goal is to create an entertainment destination that addresses these issues, incorporating everything we would want as event producers and local music fans. “We look forward to revealing our most exciting venture to date.”
Tickets until Substance's July 12 opening will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. local time on June 7.
