Nia Long's son is well taken care of. A judge has ordered that the actress' former coach, NBA head Ime Udoka, must pay more than $32,500 in monthly child support.
A judge signed off on the deal on Monday (January 22). Before any of you get your feelings on the tax guy, TMZ reports the court looked into their finances and it turns out that Udoka is making a lot more money than Long right now thanks to his gig with the Houston Rockets.
TMZ reports:
According to the documents, obtained by TMZ, it's actually Nia who will be receiving monthly child support — and even though the court said she could be entitled to upwards of $56K … the 2 parents ended up with about half of that, with Ime agreeing to pay her $32,500/mo.
The couple went through their finances — as did the court — and found that Ime makes more money coaching the Houston Rockets right now than Nia does … noting that he has more than $400,000 in net monthly disposable income, while she has only $20,000.
While the former couple will continue with joint legal custody, Long will actually have sole physical custody of their son, Kez, while Udoka will have visitation rights.
All of the above had reportedly already been negotiated and agreed upon by both sides, but on Monday the court effectively put its stamp of approval.
And now, the social media peanut gallery is closing in because… this is the type of tea she loves. Also, Udoka cheating on Nia Long makes him a target of slander from now to infinity. These are the rules. See the reactions in the gallery.
