“You promised me you'd be in the front row if I sold out MSG and here we are… you're here, but not in the front row. Can't we have that now?” fan Horan wrote
Niall Horan is celebrating his success as a solo artist with a sold-out tour that includes not one, but two stops at New York's Madison Square Garden. On Thursday, she gave back to a fan who helped make the feat happen by getting her front-row tickets.
“A few years ago a fan named Megan tweeted, 'Niall sold out MSG I'll be front row.' Well, tonight is the first of two sold-out shows here at the Garden and I just found out that Megan is here somewhere, but she doesn't have front row seats,” Horan said in a TikTok video. “It is not right. Let's see what we can do.”
The video cuts to Meghan telling the story of sending the tweet and how she was “unfortunately unable” to get front row tickets. In the video, Meghan freaks out and falls to the ground crying as she opens a letter Horan wrote upgrading her position.
Horan wrote in the note, “You promised me you'd be in the front row if I sold out MSG and here we are… you're here, but not in the front row. We can't have it now can we? I hope this helps.”
In the original Twitter interaction several years ago, Horan responded in disbelief that he might one day sell out MSG. “If I could, I would,” he wrote at the time.
Horan also took time to talk about the interaction during the show, as he told the crowd: “This tweet has been going around by now, it's pretty famous among our fan base… I'm not sure where the seats are it was Megan's, but we had to get her up when I knew she was coming.”
Horan is currently touring the United States for his album The show and is set to head to Mansfield next before making stops in Cincinnati, Toronto, Denver, Dallas and Los Angeles. Shawn Mendes joined Horan on stage to perform “Treat You Better” during a show in London.
