Nick Jonas Set to Return to Broadway in Spring 2025 to Co-Star in Musical Revival The last five years. According The Hollywood Reporter Jonas is set to co-star alongside Tony Award-winner Adrienne Warren (Random order, Tina) in the show, which will be directed by Tony nominee Whitney White (Jaja's African Hair Braiding), with sheet music and book by Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County).
Jonas first appeared on Broadway as a child actor in musicals including 2001 Annie Get Your Gunas Beauty and the Beast and Les Misérables. After the Jonas Brothers took off, he returned to the Great White Way in 2012 when he took the lead role in How to succeed in business without really trying from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.
The last five years follows aspiring New York writer Jamie and actress Cathy as they chronicle the ups and downs of their relationship over half a decade, each starting at opposite ends of the case timeline. The show premiered in 2001 and had Off-Broadway runs in 2002 and 2013 and was adapted into a musical in 2014 starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan. The upcoming Jonas/Warren series will mark the first time the musical has appeared on Broadway, with theater and show dates to be announced at a later date.
“I always believed that when the time was right, The last five years would make it to Broadway,” Brown said in a statement of the show, which will mark Jonas' first Broadway role since 2012. “Having Nick and Adrienne take on these roles is a composer's dream, and having the extraordinary Whitney's guidance and vision is every playwright's hope. It took twenty-five years, but the time is right.”
