Nicki Minaj has apologised to her fans for postponing her show in New Orleans at the last minute on Monday.
Many of the Pound the Alarm rapper’s fans were left outraged after venue organisers at the Smoothie King Center announced the show had been postponed four hours before the start time because Nicki was unwell.
Nicki offered her apologies in a lengthy post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday night.
“New Orleans, Please accept my sincerest apologies for having to reschedule our date together,” she began. “You mean so much to me & I hate that things didn’t go as planned.
“Within the next few days, I hope to update our schedule with a new date that I can give you 100% of myself & nothing less. You don’t deserve to pay for a tkt (sic) to see me up there rapping with the flu. Absolutely NOT.”
The rapper thanked her fans for their patience and support during her recovery and insisted that she will not complete her Pink Friday 2 World Tour without returning to New Orleans.
“I love you. I adore you. I appreciate you. I look forward to seeing you very soon. It may have to be in MAY due to the NBA finals, but we won’t complete this tour w/o you. As long as you’ll have me, my team & I will be there,” she concluded her post. “Wishing you guys blessings on blessings on blessings. Love always.”
In a follow-up message, the 41-year-old musician confirmed she will be ready to perform in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday night.
