Nicki Minaj thought she caught a “Peeping Tom” in the act at her tour stop in San Antonio on Thursday night (September 19), but it just happened to be one of her photographers.
Minaj posted the clip to her X account on Friday (September 20) featuring her dancing on stage and then tapping the photographer's camera after doing a double take on the device. “Oh, it's me! No!” the crew member can be heard saying as his battered camera sinks below the stage.
“This is one of the craziest things we've ever recorded. Please look @ this,” Nicki captioned the clip in what she thought was a creepy way before discovering it was a photographer she knows by the name of Grizz.
The Barbz leader followed up with an apology to Grizz in the recap of the San Antonio show on Gag City Reloaded. “@grizzleearts the fact that I thought Grizz (one of my favorite people in the whole country) was a peep and started throwing him out,” she wrote. “Griz sorry, I love you.”
Hopefully there won't be any more photographer hits and damage to Grizz's camera for the rest of the Pink Friday 2 World tour. The second leg of the lucrative North American trek hits California for a pair of shows this weekend in Los Angeles before making stops in San Francisco and San Diego.
Shakira is another artist who unfortunately had to deal with a creepy fan last weekend when he noticed someone filming up her skirt while she danced to one of her unreleased songs on stage at Miami's Club LIV earlier in September.
The awkward exchange was captured by fans as she is seen adjusting her skirt after realizing what was happening. Shakira waved her index finger in disgust at the single shot before leaving the stage entirely.
Shakira's replays did not return Bulletin boardhis request for comment at the time.
