He's a YMCMB for life, obviously. Nicki Minaj spoke out for Lil Wayne and appeared to take aim at Jay-Z after the NFL passed up Weezy in favor of Kendrick Lamar for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
With Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Minaj took issue with Jay — who co-produces the NFL Halftime Show — and the league's decision to ignore her mentor and Young Money frontman, sparking a fiery rap rant of the Queens legend on Monday afternoon (September 9).
“Go enjoy your money b4 it's too late… One opened the knee and the other a took the bag,” he wrote while subliminally shading Hov. “He'll put you 'n—-s' in line every time.”
He continued: “I got everything in the world. Still vicious & evil. Disgusting. Be happy Abig. Go be fkng happy n!gg@!!!!!!!! In the rap business. In women's business. When you have the politicians and the police, you're fine. Plus, that ugly and ridiculous alien… LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO.”
Nicki didn't stop there, as she appeared to blame Jay's selfishness and hatred for Birdman, Drake and herself as the reason behind Wayne's snub.
“To deny a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason than your ego. Your hate for BIRDMAN, Drake and Nicki made you punish Lil Wayne??!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE DOG?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what a good thing,” he wrote. “Eminem was adamant about 50Cent coming out. A white man. It's sad. House N—-R TINGZ. but it's GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No faith? Well. then n—-z will keep making fun of you!!!!!”
Birdman even chimed in, as the Cash Money president seems disgusted by the NFL's decision. “Smfh… These n—az Pussi @NICKIMINAJ @Drake @LilTunechi YMCMB,” she added to X. “I'll make these n—azs boo us Gladys… Hatin s–t for real.”
Bulletin board has reached out to Jay-Z's representatives at Roc Nation for comment.
The NFL announced Sunday (Sept. 8) that Kendrick Lamar will headline when the big game comes to New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025.
Others outside of the Young Money family have also come to Wayne's defense, including Master P, Boosie Badazz, Cam'ron and Mase. Lil Wayne himself has yet to publicly react to the NFL's move.
