Nicki Minaj wants to connect the worlds of Trinidad and Nigeria. The Barbz leader has teased a remix to Burna Boy's “Tested, Approved & Trusted.”
Minaj teased her verse on the Afrobeats melodic reprise via Instagram on Wednesday night (February 7).
“Top shotta never burna boy,” he raps. “I was an apprentice boy/ When you turn around, they go out with the burner boy/ Don't be mean, you win her, boy.”
Minaj instructed the speakers to be “louder” before continuing her vocals a second time for the fans.
The Barbz were excited about cross-cultural collaboration. “This process with the tune first I'm going crazy,” one person wrote in Nicki's comments, while another added: “I'm ready for this Trinidad and Nigeria collab that's going to be iconic!”
“Tested, Approved & Trusted” originally landed as a sleeper at Burna Boy's I told them… album in August.
If the remix does eventually make it to streaming services, it will serve as the first official collaboration between Nicki Minaj and the African Giant.
Minaj won't let her big foot from the accelerator pedal following Pink Friday 2arrival in December. She looks ready to embark on her world tour and let the creativity flow as she is set to hit the road for her Pink Friday 2 World tour kicking off in Oakland, California on March 1st.
The 41-year-old wasted no time responding to Megan Thee Stallion with her Jan. 28 diss track “Big Foot,” which debuted at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and opened the No. 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, even with four days of chart tracking.
“Big Foot” captured 10.6 million official US streams in the shortened week and 37,000 download sales, with 588,000 in the radio audience, while not being promoted as a radio single.
