Brother Love's name continued to be dragged for dirt. The “No Diddy” trend continues to gain popularity and 50 cents has risen to the wave.
HipHopDX is reference that the new way to invalidate statements that could be interpreted as a homosexual act (Ed. Note: Not that there's anything wrong with that, if that's your preference.) catches. Last week the term “No Diddy” was unofficially introduced during a recent interview with DJ Akademiks and Quilly on Off The Record podcast. “I put him in my place, not Diddy,” the rapper said. While the two discussed various topics, it was this joke that quickly went viral. A post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by user BNYX quickly gained traction and eventually landed on 50 Cent's radar.
On Saturday, March 23, the “Candy Shop” rapper took to Instagram to tease the mogul. “Oh I understand my son is my man No Diddy. I'm going to Boom you right now! Fvck out of here! LOL,” she wrote. The trend was also discussed in It is what it is Show when MA$E asked Cam'ron and Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson about it. “How did you feel about the weekend? They changed the term to 'pause,'” he said. Killa responded and revealed that he had heard of the new phrase before, but was reluctant to bring it up as he didn't want MA$E to feel like he was being shot directly at him given his storied tenure with Bad Boy Entertainment.
“I was wondering how you felt about that,” Cam'ron said. “You know why, because I knew that last week and I was like, 'I'm not going to be the first.' I said, “This is really a Betha call. Because I didn't want you to think I was coming on to you, pause, no way. If I said it first, I didn't want you to think I was trying to insult you. I'm not trying to be funny, but that's what happens out there. How do you feel about that?” The “Feels So Good” MC responded by asking if the new term sounds as catchy as the original to which Killa said yes.
