After originally breaking through with his spectacular debut album 'The Longest Day In History' in 2016, which included his breakthrough anthem 'My Dear Mother', Northern Irish indie-rock innovator David C Clements has now made his long-awaited return to deliver the euphoric new single Reckless.
Recapturing all that rich, majestic energy he first emerged with, “Reckless” sees him break his eight-year silence with a truly anthemic new offering. With its expansive, emotive textures perfectly placed in an ascending crescendo, this new single marks the beginning of the next phase within their musical evolution to date.
Speaking about the new release, he said, “I started writing Reckless after moving my childhood upright piano into my house. I had this little guitar riff that I found at a sound check, and something about those notes that resonate when played on the piano gave it a whole new mood and the song just flowed from there. It's an all-encompassing song about love. Love and be loved. The ups and downs and the joy of the normalities of everyday life.”

Following the release of her debut album, Clements established herself as one of Northern Ireland's most distinctive voices. In 2022, she took over as lead singer for Two Door Cinema Club at their South American festival. He was invited to Washington DC in 2023 to perform at the capital's St. Patrick's Day Gala Concert, alongside James Vincent McMorrow, SOAK and Tolü Makay.
David C Clements performs in places as epic and ethereal as his musical offerings. Within the circular walls of Mussenden Temple, located on the edge of a cliff with the Atlantic Ocean below. At Belfast Central Church, their sold-out Christmas show has become an annual tradition; pews full of listeners who revere Clements' voice. If he sings it, they will come.
