New York City Mayor Eric Leroy Adams loves to pretend he's all about Hip-Hop, even if his record shows he's not. Despite this, Adams recently sat down for an interview with the popular Drink Champs podcast and the reaction was less than enthusiastic.
That's kind as rapper NORE and his outlet are being slandered on X (formerly known as Twitter) for the platform of the NYPD cop turned Brooklyn President and now New York City Mayor.
Adams recently appeared Breakfast Club, which was also heavily criticized, and absolutely cooked up by activist, lawyer and political commentator Olayemi Olurin, who called him out on his hypocrisy, noted the racial profiling by the NYPD and made him dodge her questions. While Olurin is clearly familiar with politics (and was harassed by NYPD brass), we mean no disrespect when we say that NORE and co-host DJ EFN are not on the same intellectual level to challenge Adams on his actions. Not that it should matter, anyway, but we're not holding our breath when it comes to the possibility of Drink Champs the crew asks tough questions.
