Oasis have added two more shows at London's Wembley Stadium to their “Oasis Live '25” reunion tour, scheduled for September 27-28, 2025.
The new shows come after a whirlwind of disorganised ticket sales for the initial first leg of Oasis’ comeback tour. When tickets went on sale for Oasis’ first shows in more than 15 years on Saturday 31 August, thousands of fans had disastrous experiences with Ticketmaster. Many waited in the online queue for several hours before Ticketmaster crashed and the platform’s dynamic pricing policy saw prices rise to as much as three or four times the face value of standard tickets.
While many fans, against all odds, did Getting tickets to see Oasis has been a huge disappointment for those who were unable to get them due to Ticketmaster's shortcomings. Even the UK government is furious, said British politician and Labour Party MP Zarah Sultana lament the failure of Twitter's queueing system, while the UK's culture department has pledged to investigate the legality of Ticketmaster's “dynamic pricing” feature.
Now, Oasis have added these final two Wembley shows to their itinerary, presumably in an effort to give fans who missed out a chance to get tickets again. “Tickets will be sold via a tiered, invitation-only raffle process,” reads the band’s official statement about the new shows. “Applications to join the raffle will first open to the many UK fans who were unsuccessful in the initial sale with Ticketmaster.”
The date for ticket sales for the new Wembley shows is still unknown, but will be announced soon along with the opening of ticket registration ballots. The new voting system mirrors what Oasis had attempted for their pre-sale last week: fans were required to register for a pre-sale lottery, and it is My dear Only 2.3% of fans who registered received a purchase code. However, as the band assures, voting will now be directed to potential attendees who were unable to get tickets the first time around.
“Interest in this tour is inevitably so overwhelming that it is impossible to schedule enough shows to meet public demand,” the band’s statement reads. “But this ticketing strategy will make the process much simpler for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain one of the most sought-after tickets of our time.”
The band's statement also offers an explanation as to why dynamic pricing was implemented during the on-sale period: “It is necessary to make clear that Oasis leave decisions regarding ticket sales and pricing solely to its promoters and management, and at no point were they aware that dynamic pricing was going to be used,” the statement reads.
“While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band’s management resulted in a positive ticketing strategy that would provide a fair experience for fans, including aggressive ticket sales to help keep overall ticket prices low and reduce advertising, the execution of the plan fell short of expectations. All parties involved made every effort to provide the best possible experience for fans, but due to unprecedented demand, this became impossible to achieve.”
