Reunion tour kicks off: Oasis have announced a trio of shows in Asia next year, the latest to be added to their Live '25 reunion tour.
The Gallagher brothers will head to Seoul, South Korea on October 21st for a show at Goyang Stadium before heading to Tokyo, Japan for a pair of shows at the Tokyo Dome on October 25th and 26th. tickets for both shows will go on sale on November 29 from the band website.
The announcement was made on the band's social media with messages to fans in both regions. “Korea. Our new best friends. Hang in there. Oasis coming soon,” they wrote, adding “Everyone in Japan. We haven't forgotten you guys.”
Noel and Liam began teasing their shows in the area earlier this week with a billboard campaign, similar to previewing other dates on their world tour. The pair last appeared in Japan and South Korea in 2009, with shows in Nagoya and Osaka, as well as a night at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
The announcement brings the number of dates on the band's Live '25 tour to 41. The world tour will kick off at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on July 4, 2025 before heading across the UK and Ireland and, in then, in North America, Asia, Australia and Latin America. There has been no word on any additional dates being announced. The final date of the tour is scheduled to take place with a pair of shows at the Estádio Morum BIS in São Paulo, Brazil on November 22-23.
Oasis last released music in 2008 with what is now their final album, Unearth your soulbefore divorcing a year later. Lead songwriter/guitarist and occasional vocalist Noel and lead singer Liam have had successful respective solo careers over the following decades and have announced a reunion at the end of August with a series of UK and Ireland tours. The sell-out process was marred by long queues and the use of Ticketmaster's controversial “dynamic pricing” model, which the band has since said will not be used on other dates on the tour.
