“Definitely Maybe” hits shelves this Friday. Here you can buy the reissue, including colored vinyl and a deluxe edition
Oasis definitely is (maybe) we will meet again. After the British newspaper The Times hinted at a string of possible gigs in London and Manchester in 2025, Oasis seemingly confirmed they had a major announcement with a cryptic Instagram video reading '27.08.24' and the time '8am', sparking a frenzy Britpop fans. Now the announcement is here and Oasis will officially reunite in 2025, with a string of dates in the UK and Ireland. They also teased their upcoming world tour dates.
We still have a lot of questions about what an Oasis reunion could mean. The band broke up in 2009 after a backstage row between frontman Liam Gallagher and his brother, guitarist and chief songwriter Noel Gallagher. Given how often they've traded barbeques in the press and on social media in the intervening 15 years, the bigger question is — can a truce last long enough to get here in 2025? If they manage to reunite next year, it will be 30 years since the release of their landmark sophomore album, (What's The Story) Morning Glory.
This week marks another anniversary for the legendary band and that's the release of their debut album Sure Maybewhich sits at a very respectable 217 on Rolling Stone's list of the greatest albums of all time. A re-release was announced in May and will officially hit shelves on August 30th. Even if the truce prevails, Oasis fans will have to wait a long time to see the band reunite, but they can pre-order the reissue of the band's debut album now or save it to their favorite streaming app like Spotify or Apple Music.
The deluxe edition of the reissue includes albums originally recorded at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales and Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, as well as a remastered version of the album. The album will be reissued in a variety of formats, including indie exclusives, a colorful pink and white 2xLP vinyl, a deluxe CD, or the deluxe 4xLP black vinyl deluxe edition. Here you can pre-order the exclusives before they go live on August 30th.
