Like a spark reigniting an old flame, Odd Mob have breathed new life into Sean Paul's iconic “Get Busy” with their first official rework.
With his latest release, the “Losing Control” producer has reworked the two-decade-old 2003 dancehall classic with a fresh, modern production twist. Adding energy to their step, Odd Mob raises the tempo, transforming “Get Busy” into an energizing, dance-worthy single with a voluminous bassline that commands movement. The remix has already become a mainstay of his live performances, generating great responses from festival audiences at Coachella, EDC and more.
Sean Paul's original “Get Busy” remains a defining moment in dancehall history after it rose to the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 more than two decades ago. The song also reached the top 10 in numerous countries, effectively cementing its place as a world anthem of broader cultural significance.
“It's crazy to see a cheeky little bootleg I made for my sets recently have an official release!” Odd Mob exclaimed in a press release. “This new version is completely light-hearted and doesn't take itself too seriously. Simple, a little fast and a little silly.”
