At the event, scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, his family and friends, some members of the Ohio Legislature, former bandmates and various indie rockers are expected to attend, according to Bullethead, who will also be in attendance.
“Mojo's first question was always, 'Is it going to be fun?' Bullethead said in a statement. “Embraced by mainstream politics and the mainstream music industry, in the state he's called home for so many years, he feels like he's creating subversive entertainment behind enemy lines. Everyone lay down their arms and get into the spirit of rock and roll. He's been dead for four months and he's still figuring out how to get the best out of everyone.”
Bullethead continued by quoting the lyrics of Nixon's song, “You Can't Kill Me”: “My soul is humming forever…you can put me in jail. You can kill me. you can execute me But you can't kill the rock and roll man.”
