We're “obsessed” with Olivia Rodrigo's album season, and now fans are getting a new music video.
The 21-year-old pop star took to Instagram on Wednesday (March 20) to tease the music video for her beloved track, “Obsessed,” which is set to appear on the upcoming deluxe edition of her second studio album. Offal. In the preview clip, Rodrigo enters a room full of women wearing pageant stockings, each representing one of his “exes,” including “Miss Thought She Was the One,” “Miss Also Thought She Was the One,” ” Miss 2 Summers Ago” and more. Rodrigo herself wears a “Miss Right Now” sash.
The theme fits perfectly with the jealousy-fueled lyrics, as Rodrigo croons on the chorus, “I'm so obsessed with your ex/ I know she slept next to me in your bed/ And I feel it.” Watch the music video preview here. The full visual is scheduled to arrive at midnight ET on Friday (March 22), the same day as the expanded Offal.
Rodrigo announced his news intestines (spill) during the first night of her two-show stand at the United Center in Chicago on Tuesday night (March 19), surprising the crowd by unfurling a sign that read 'Guts Deluxe Out Friday'. The expanded version of the 2023 collection will include five more songs, including a new one, “So American,” which was recorded after the original album was released last year. The other four songs on the extended edition were the “secret” tracks that appeared on various OFFAL vinyl releases: “Obsessed”, “Scared of My Guitar”, “Stranger” and “Girl I've Always Been”.
