Anonymous country star Orville Peck has teamed up with country icon Willie Nelson for a new version of “Cowboys Are Often Secrets from Each Other.” stream the new track below.
The new collaboration with Nelson isn't the first time Peck has addressed “Cowboys Often Secretly Love Each Other.” Originally published by Ned Sublette in 1981 and famously covered by Nelson in 2006, Peck previously covered the tune for SiriusXM and has performed it live.

Peck's version of “Cowboys Are Often Secretly Fond to Each Other” comes on the heels of his signing with Warner Records. Their full-length debut in 2019, Ponyreleased via Sub Pop, and making their major label debut in 2022, colt, fell via Colombia.
In addition to new songs and new deals, Peck also announced a series of tour dates for 2024. Dubbed “The Stampede Tour,” Peck will hit the road on May 28, visiting Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up in October. . Collect tickets here.
Nelson, for its part, is in the midst of a busy 2024. He recently appeared as a guest on Beyoncé's new album. COWBOY PURSE, featured Kermit the Frog at South by Southwest, announced his “Outlaw Music Festival Tour” (get tickets here), and is preparing for his 152nd album, Border.
