Newcomers Oscar Ortiz and Edgardo Nuñez are combining efforts for their first No. 1 in either Advertising sign chart as “First Love” climbs 3-1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart dated April 27. The song was released on December 23 through BadSin Records, the music management company co-owned by Ortiz and his brothers Kevin and Gerardo, who both frequent Advertising sign graphs visitors.

“First Love” immediately gained viral attention via TikTok, where Ortiz was named #Rompiendo Artist of the Month for March by TikTok. To date, the song has spawned nearly 600,000 videos. However, streams are down 4% during the tracking week, to 3.5 million official clicks in the US.
As “First Love” climbs to No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay, it propels BadSin to his second chart-topper of 2024 and 13th overall. Earlier this year, the indie label was topped by Ortiz's brother Gerardo Ortiz's “Ahí No Era” for a week at the top in February.
Unlike Oscar Ortiz, whose first and only Billboard entry came via “First Love,” Nuñez has placed four other tracks on the charts, including “El Humo De Gallo,” with Banda Los Sebastianes de Saul Plata, which debuts at No. 34 on Regional Mexican Airplay on the current chart.
In addition to crowning Regional Mexican Airplay, “First Love” climbs 9-5 on the overall Latin Airplay chart for its new top spot, up 18% in total impressions to 8.32 million.
