His fans Roc-A-Fella Records they should be familiar with the name Oskino, who spent time on the label as part of the State Property collective. Through a new interview, Oschino shared how he felt Jay-Z betrayed Beanie Sigel in a difficult period for the Philadelphia star.
Oskino sat with him CHEER UP! YouTube show to discuss his rise as a rapper, signing with Roc-A-Fella, auditioning for Jay-Z and more. During the segment discussing his time under the Brooklyn mogul's label, Oschino expressed his frustration with the honcho for not standing trial for the attempted murder of Beanie Siegel.
“I came to court for Beanie when he allegedly shot someone,” Oschino Vasquez said. “JAY-Z got on the stage and they said, 'Are you going to be responsible for him if we let him go?' Jay-Z said, “No.” I was there. This is not rumour. I was in the courtroom.”
Vasquez went on to say that he was shocked that Jay-Z would not tell the court that he would help Beanie Sigel in his return to public life, stating that his time in prison made him look at such matters differently.
He continued, “And no one said anything, no one flinched. Mind you, I'm a prison n*gga, so I'm looking around like, “Isn't anybody saying anything?” Like it was normal.”
