Ozzy Osbourne has apparently been the subject of several death hoax videos on YouTube, and the Prince of Darkness isn't having it.
“I'm not dead,” Ozzy declared on the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast. “I'm not going anywhere fucking. And anyway, I'm going to go up and do a few more gigs before I'm done.”
Ozzy, who turned 75 in early December, could be referring to one of the many clickbait videos that have been flooding YouTube lately. Although the rock legend has dealt with numerous health issues that have mostly kept him off the stage in recent years, the death hoax videos are likely to be rushed in a blatant ploy to generate views.
“The stuff on YouTube says 'celebrities who died today' and there's a picture of me,” Ozzy said of the dubious videos, “and I'm like, 'I'm not dead.' I'm not really dead… Just a small flesh wound.'”
“There are so many sick motherfuckers out there,” Sharon said of the creators of the death hoax clips.
Ozzy's comments about his return to the stage surpass those he made in September. Talking with metal hammerrevealed that he recently underwent successful surgery to repair damage to his spine and plans to record “one more album” and then “get back on tour.”
“I'm starting to work on it now and we'll be recording early next year,” he said at the time. “I want to take my time with this one.”
Osbourne has been unable to tour for the past five years, even hinting that his touring career ended in early 2023, but he has remained prolific in the studio, releasing solo albums. ordinary man in 2020 and Patient number 9 in 2022, with producer Andrew Watt on board for both LPs. The plan is to work with Watt once again on the next album.
