K-pop sextet P1Harmony just finished the P1ustage H : UTOP1A tour and member Jongseob says Advertising sign that the nearly two-month North American date went by “too quickly,” while also saying it felt “too short.”
The group consisting of Jongseob, Theo, Soul, Jiung, Intak and Keeho kicked off the string of dates on May 14 in Houston and hit Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Nashville, Miami, New York ( as part of Governors Ball) and Oakland before wrapping up on June 16 in Los Angeles.
Of course, they made the most of their time in the US, with Keeho saying that on his days off he likes to soak up as much culture as he can. “I like going out. I like to really immerse myself in the city I'm in,” he said of his activities on his days off. “I like to try food, go shopping and see sites.” In Miami, he says he went out to Miami Beach and ate his dinner alone, mildly judging his teammates for not responding to his request to accompany him on his adventures.
He also recalls that in Nashville—where the group was playing the Grand Ole Opry—he and Intak were at a mall and spotted five or six fans who recognized them and were wearing their merchandise. “We love seeing our fans in the wild,” he says. “They are all very nice and respectful.”
Although they are a little tired from the trip, Jiung says they are ready and excited to hit the ground running when they return to Seoul this week. “We have a lot of festivals and we're always preparing the new album or new songs, new shows,” he says.
The band is very happy about the opportunity to play the Governors Ball in New York, with Intak saying in Korean that “it was an honor to see new artists perform and show them our show at the same time, which is an opportunity that doesn't come around very often.” Keeho added that he enjoyed seeing sets by artists he respects and is inspired by, including SZA and Don Toliver.
They also discussed their upcoming second visit to K-CON in Los Angeles (July 26-28), with Keeho getting ridiculous about the stage at the 360 show at the Crypto Arena, where they're surrounded by their fans. “It's always so nice to play because you get to see everybody everywhere,” he says. “We're coming back as even more refined and better artists than before and we can show the audience how much we've improved.” P1HARMONY released their debut full-length, Kill iton February.
Additionally, the team touched on being “nervous and honored.” throw the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game, with Keeho revealing that Theo had never thrown a baseball before and was up all night before searching YouTube for pitching instructional videos.
