Queens recognize queens. Pamela Anderson had nothing but love for Beyoncé's Halloween tribute Barb Wire character. On Tuesday (November 5), Bey dropped the first music video from her Cowboy Carter era with “Bodyguard', in which the singer channeled a trio of Anderson's most iconic looks for what she dubbed 'Beylloween,” in an Instagram post that includes a series of tributes to the actress/writer.
Anderson reposted a screenshot of the visual on her Instagram storiesadding a heart emoji and the comment “Don't call me bae… [kissy face emoji].” In the video, Beyoncé modeled Anderson's legendary skin-tight red Baywatch one-piece swimsuit, as well as her plunging black corset dress from Pam's 1996 kitsch sci-fi film Barb Wire. On Election Day, the video also featured a scene in which Bey pointed a toy gun at the camera, letting out a “Vote!” message flag to encourage fans to head to the polls in what turned out to be a losing effort by his preferred candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris.
A third look also mimicked Anderson's 1999 MTV VMAs look, which featured a furry pink hat and eye-popping leggings, though instead of the video awards show, Bey renamed it No Visual Awards — an apparent nod to the long music video drought spanning 2020 Black Is King music film. Anderson also posted a clip from the “Bodyguard” video to her Story.
Beyoncé's country-leaning 2024 Raphael Saadiq-produced “Bodyguard.” Cowboy Carter The album peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Last January, Anderson — who has kept a low profile in recent years — opened up to Howard Stern about her brief marriage to MAGA singer Kid Rock, saying the four-month union in 2006 was a “huge royal mistake” against this promotion Love Pamela memoir.
