Shakira reaches No. 1 Advertising signTop Latin Albums chart (dated April 6) while his set with Cardi B's “Puntería” is at No. 3 on Hot Latin Songs. In addition, two other tracks are released in the top 10 of the latest list.
First up is “La People II” by Peso Pluma, Tito Double P and Joel De La P, new to No. 2 on the multimetric chart. The three-part collaboration, released on March 21 via Double P Records, marks her high-profile entry into heavy streaming activity. During the March 22-28 tracking week, it generated 9.1 million official streams in the US, according to Luminate. The tally marks the No. 2 debut on Latin Streaming Songs, notably Peso Pluma's 18th top 10, the most of any mainstream Mexican local music act.
Tito Double P and Joel De La P score their first top 10 on Hot Latin Songs. Both local New Mexicans made their chart debut with the No. 35-topping “Dembow Bélico,” featuring Luis R Conriquez, in July 2023. Tito Double P previously reached closer to top 10 via the new single's prequel — similarly to Peso Pluma, as “La People” peaked at No. 12 last December.
Additionally, “La People II” marks the highest debut on Hot Latin Songs 2024 for a local Mexican song by artists primarily recording in the genre and the top such debut since Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma's “Ella Baila Sola” also premiered at No. 2 in April 2023. Meanwhile, last August, Karol G's “Mi Ex Tenía Razón” became her first No. 1 in the Mexico-centric region, among eight in total.
At No. 4 on Hot Latin Songs, Xavi closes out his third top 10 with “Corazón de Piedra.” The romantic sierreño, released March 22, also reaches No. 3 on Latin Streaming Songs with 8.3 million official streams in the US. Xavi totaled three installments in the Hot Latin Songs top 10, as “La Diabla” holds on for a 13th week at No. 1—his longest this year and seventh this year—and “La Víctima” sinks 3-7, then reaching No. 2.
All three Hot Latin Songs top 10 debuts also enter the all-genre Billboard Hot 100: “La People II” at No. 69, becoming the first chart entry for Tito Double P and Joel De La P. “Puntería,” at No. 72, as Shakira has debuted songs on the Hot 100 in four consecutive years (eight tracks as of 2021) for the first time since her debut in 2001. and “Corazón de Piedra” at No. 73, giving Xavi his third and highest start.
