Just three months after Peso Pluma's Genesis marked its 28th week (and so far the last week) at No. 1 Advertising signIn his top Latin albums, the Mexican singer once again tops the 50 albums chart with Exodus, the studio's fourth set rising 41-1 on the July 6-dated list. The set also sits at No. 5 on the overall Billboard 200 chart.
Exodus debuted at No. 41 on Top Latin Albums (ranked June 22) with only one day of activity, as the album was released on June 20 via Double P, the last day of the tracking week. According to Luminate, the 24-song set (21 of which are collaborations), generated 64,000 equivalent album units in the US during the 21-27 tracking week.
stream units include virtually all ExodusSecond week of activity, with just over 63,000 units coming from this consumption method. This amount equates to 87.5 million official on-demand streams of the album's 24 songs. Traditional album sales and track sales, meanwhile, provide the remaining 1,000. One unit equals one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported, or 1,250 official paid/subscription audio and video on-demand streams for one song on the album.
Exodus becomes just the second album by a local Mexican act to reach the summit on Top Latin Albums in 2024, following Fuerza Régida Pa Las Baby's y Belikeadawhich ran for three weeks between April and May.
Beyond its crowning of the top Latin albums, Exodus likewise rallies 19-1 on Regional Mexican Albums, where Peso replaces himself at No. 1. The new set sends Genesis at No. 2 with a 4% drop in total units to 17,000.
The last act to swap No.1 spots on the chart was Eslabon Armado, whose album Tu Veneno Mortal, Vol. 2 ceded the throne after three weeks to Armados Corta Venas, rebounding to the chart summit dated July 31, 2021, for an 18th week at the top then. (The latter reigned for a total of 54 weeks, the third longest since the list began in 1985.)
Exodus four songs preceded it on the multi-metric Hot Latin Songs chart, starting with “La Durango,” featuring Junior H and Eslabón Armado, which rallied 20-9 with Greatest Gainer honors, given weekly to the song with the biggest gain to an audience.
“La People II” featuring Tito Double P and Joel De La P, travels 23-18. “Rompe La Dompe,” featuring Junior H and Oscar Maydon, reenters at No. 27 after its No. 12 debut and peak (chart dated Jan. 13). “Peso Completo,” featuring Arcángel reaches a No. 42 debut, while “Teka,” featuring DJ Snake, climbs 36-45.
“Reloj,” featuring Iván Cornejo, leads 17 debuts on Hot Latin Songs, which combines airplay, digital sales and streaming data, where it opens at No. 3. It was the most-streamed song during its debut week , with 7.7. million official US streams during the monitoring period.
With the 17 new recruits, plus two songs already on the chart and one reintroduction, Peso Pulma places a total of 20 simultaneous titles on the current chart, the most in 2024.
