In the middle of the impressive Zamna cenote, Tomorrowland unfolded a new chapter in the CORE story of the beloved festival brand.
Deep in the jungles of Tulum, the organization recently debuted its highly anticipated CORE stage design, which was designed by its industry-leading creative team. The new stage, a recent centerpiece for performances by Diplo, Disclosure and more, fittingly continues the CORE brand's tradition of fusing the pure beauty of nature with cutting-edge entertainment technology.
Standing at an imposing 17 meters high and 30 meters wide, the stage's defining feature is a human head split in half by a large screen. The imposing, intricate structure retains the distinctly “human” elements of the original design with an added technological touch for today's electronic dance music audience.
The world of tomorrow
Equipped with custom imagery and an array of hundreds of moving lights, the impressive stage presents a multi-sensory spectacle at its full production capacity. In total, more than 16,000 attendees were captivated by its highly visible debut in Tulum.
In addition to its impressive visual qualities, the stage is not only a marvel of design, but also a feat of sustainability and efficiency. The fully inflatable nature of the CORE stage design marks a significant advancement in festival infrastructure considering its portability allows it to be installed compactly in a single container, making it remarkably transportable and adaptable to venues around the world.
As the Tomorrowland brand embarks on historic 20th anniversary celebrations next year, its CORE stage will make its debut across the two weekends of its flagship Tomorrowland festival this July at Boom. Check out a gallery of photos from Tulum below.
