Pitbull is always ready for a party, especially if it involves people getting into his music. That's why Mr. 305 could not help but comment when his new season Bridgerton used one of his signature classical renditions of his iconic 2011 hit 'Give Me Everything' to set up a horse-drawn carriage scene between Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope 'Lady Whistledown' Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) in one episode from the just-released third season of the Netflix costume drama.
“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends boundaries the most and how a hit song can remain timeless,” wrote Mr. Worldwide at X on Tuesday along with a lip-smacking clip. “Thanks @bridgerton and @netflix for the opportunity, Dale!'
The cry received an official response from the Bridgerton crew on Instagram, where they wrote: “This writer would definitely agree with Lord Worldwide… Music speaks when words cannot.”
As in previous seasons, Pitbull isn't the only one to have one of his songs switch violins and violas. Last season featured revamped songs by Nirvana (“Stay Away”), Madonna (“Material Girl”), Rihanna (“Diamonds”), Miley Cyrus (“Wrecking Ball”), Robyn (“Dancing on My Own”) and Harry Styles (“Sign of the Times”), among others. The current season goes all-in again, with classic covers of tracks from Gayle (“abcdefu”), BTS (“Dynamite”), Nick Jonas (“Jealous”), Billie Eilish (“Happier Than Ever”) and Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey (“Snow on the Beach”).
