“I have no outdoor skills. What am I doing here?” The podcaster admits in the teaser for the upcoming season 47 in Fiji
Pod Save America Co-host and former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett will take a hiatus from podcasting to fight in the open and forge alliances in his next season Survivor.
The upcoming 47th (!) season of the reality competition premiered on Wednesday night in the current season finale and according the Hollywood Reporteramong the hopefuls who hit the beach to survive Survivor was Lovett, whose involvement was previously rumored but not confirmed until he appeared in the trailer:
“I have no outdoor skills. What am I doing here?” Lovett said, establishing himself as an outsider from the jump. “I went camping as a Boy Scout. I threw up and went home.”
While Survivor did not release the names of next season's contestants, Lovett's Pod Save America Co-host Jon Favreau acknowledged his co-host's presence on social media:
Lovett's involvement surprised even Ben Stiller, who responded to Favreau's tweet, “Seriously? Wow.” Favreau added, “I know, it's hard to believe because he's so camera shy.”
