Porno for Pyros will be making their upcoming farewell tour “Horns, Thorns, En Halos” available for everyone to experience. The band's February 18 concert at The Belasco in Los Angeles can be viewed as a paid live stream via streaming service VEEPS.
After reuniting to play some festivals and clubs in 2022, Porno for Pyros revealed that their first full tour in over a quarter of a century would also be their last. The North American tour begins February 13 in Santa Ana, California, and continues through March 10 in Montclair, New Jersey (pick up tickets here).
When talking to Strong consequences, frontman Perry Farrell spoke about the band's decision to make their reunion tour a farewell outing. “Well, I guess the way I look at it… this is just my business: how I have my life organized,” the singer said. “So, I have Porno for Pyros, I have Jane's Addiction and Lollapalooza. “So I have all these beautiful things.”
He continued: “With Porno for Pyros, what I can see in my life: publishing these [new] songs, go on this tour.”
In addition to Farrell, the Porno for Pyros touring lineup will feature his Jane's Addiction bandmate Stephen Perkins (drums), as well as guitarist Peter DiStefano and bassist Mike Watt. Founding bassist Martyn LeNoble opted out of the tour, despite recording the new songs with the band.
Regarding the live broadcast, the band stated: “We are excited to welcome you to our home and want to capture the energy of the final show in Los Angeles as if you were there with us. “Your support means a lot to us and this is a way to keep the memories alive with you.”
