Post Malone & Morgan Wallen's 'I Had Some Help' Continues to Unfurl on Billboard's Songs of the Summer Chart

What will be the #1 song of the summer of 2024? As of July 4, Post Malone's “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, maintains its lead for the honor, per Advertising sign's Songs of the Summer chart.

The current 20-spot Songs of the Summer tally tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 chart based on streaming, airplay and sales from Memorial Day to Labor Day (this year includes charts from June 8 to September 7). At the end of the season, the top song of the summer will be revealed.

“I Had Some Help” has ruled Songs of the Summer all five weeks since the survey returned this season. It also topped the newest Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts. Only one hit has earned the season-ending No. 1 spot on the Songs of the Summer chart after topping both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs — Wallen's “Last Night” last year.

Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is at No. 2 on the latest Songs of the Summer chart, followed in the top five by Kendrick Lamar's “Not Like Us” (No. 3), “Million Dollar Baby” by Tommy Richman (No. 4) and 'Espresso' by Sabrina Carpenter (No. 5).

Carpenter is the only act with two songs in the Songs of the Summer Top 10: her new single and first Hot 100 No. 1, “Please Please Please,” jumps 12-9 on the sun-kissed chart.

The latest entry in Songs of the Summer? The “Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappell Roan, which debuts at No. 19;

Before 2023's “Last Night,” Harry Styles' “As It Was” was the No. 1 hit on the Songs of the Summer chart that closed out the 2022 season, behind BTS's “Butter” for 2021 and “Rockstar” by DaBaby. with Roddy Ricch wrapped around the top in 2020.
