Cuando Rondo was in court earlier this week in connection with his drug case in Georgia, changing his earlier plea of not guilty to guilty in federal court. With the rapper pleading guilty to a lesser charge, Quando Rondo still faces up to five years behind bars in connection with the matter.
As reported by WSAVQuando Rondo, 25, appeared in court last Tuesday (August 13) to plead not guilty to a charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana.
After his court appearance, the rapper, real name Tyquian Bowman, told WSAV he's on a new path and hopes that's reflected in his actions going forward.
“I just want everybody to know that I'm a changed man, I'm changing every day and God has the final say,” Rondo said.
Adding to his press statement, Rondo apologized to his hometown in an effort to further show how he's changed.
“I really want to apologize to the city of Savannah and I want to apologize to my family, my friends, my loved ones, especially my daughters,” Rondo added.
The rapper is still releasing music and has a new project, Here for a reasonwill be released on Friday (August 16), WSAV reports.
“I'll rap forever! Nothing can affect the music,” Rondo told WSAV.
Quando Rondo is due back in court on December 12 for sentencing and will remain free on bail until then.
