Quavo and Chris Brown are embroiled in a beef that seems to have outgrown their past interactions with ex-lovers together. Quavo, who took a shot at Chris Brown on the track “Weakest Link,” hit back with a diss of his own, “Over Hoes & B*tches.”
The Migos rapper used an infamous image of Brown putting his hands around a woman's throat, an incident the singer claimed was friendly and not violent at all. Quavo placed his face over Brown's face while the singer's face was placed over the drowned woman.
“Over Hoes & B*tches” adds to the growing war of words that was most notably sparked on Brown's track “Freak” from 11:11 (Deluxe) album. Huncho responded with “Tender” which then prompted Breezy to respond with “Weakest Link” and now we're down to “Over Hoes & B*tches.”
A common theme in the songs are references to Brown's ex, Karrueche Tran, who was linked to his current rival, though Tran denied the pair were dating after breaking up with Brown in 2015. The two also mentioned the domestic violence allegations, including an incident involving Saweetie, who Brown claims he slept with while she was dating the “Workin Me” rapper.
From “Over Hoes & B*tches”:
Lil' boy, wanna die for a little doll? (Baow) Are you still fighting with Karrueche? (Dime)
You tried to beat Teyana (Capless) but Usher wouldn't let you (Usher)
Cocaine got him, your honor (White), bipolar disorder, no wonder
You were the greatest, n*gga, you fought, you used to be sad, I see you crumble (E)
Why did they bring Quavo out here and go back and forth with a singer turned fan?
Now we got light skin vs brown, n*gga finna split the country (Go)
N*gga, you ain't been in the trenches (Trenches)
We throw the yard, you know how it ended (Stomp)
Brown responded to the diss, referring to the lyrics as “Google Raps” before dismissing the effort. No word yet on whether Brown will give the correct answer.
