Rammstein have issued an open letter to fans addressing last year's allegations of sexual misconduct made against frontman Till Lindemann.
In 2023, several female fans came forward publicly to accuse Lindemann of engaging in sexual misconduct at Rammstein concerts and at backstage or post-show parties associated with the band’s fan club, “Row 0.” At the time, both Rammstein and Lindemann denounced the allegations, though German authorities went so far as to launch an investigation that was later dismissed.

Now that Rammstein has just wrapped up the final leg of their massive stadium tour, the ongoing debate surrounding sexual misconduct allegations was apparently enough for the band to issue an open letter Instagram [translated from German via ThePRP]:
“We want to say a huge thank you to all of our fans, friends and visitors to our concerts. Thank you for your support, your warmth and your support on this 2024 tour. We could feel it everywhere and we were carried away by a wave full of emotions. It was an honor to be able to play for you, to be part of these happy moments and the joy we share. Thanks to you, we are a band that has found its joy again in music and on stage. Every concert was an act of healing for us. We thank you for that.
We have been actively working on the allegations against the band since last summer. [these accusations] Seriously, even though many of these claims are unfounded and exaggerated, it is an internal process that will be with us for a long time. Each of us deals with it in our own way and copes differently. At this point, we would especially like to thank our families and loved ones for their unrestricted support and love; they too were greatly affected by the allegations made and the media treatment of them.
We want to thank our team, our management, all our employees and everyone who has supported us and remained loyal throughout this journey. This massive stadium tour with this great show and this extraordinary stage has come to an end after 135 concerts in 5 years with 6 million fans. It's not Rammstein. It's not us. It's not you. The journey continues.
“Goodbye, goodbye, GOODBYE!!”
Regarding media coverage of the allegations, Billboard has reported that Lindemann is suing the German media outlet Mirror over its press coverage and podcast. Lindemann's lawyers issued a press release stating that the sexual misconduct allegations are “without exception false” and accused the outlet of using falsified documents and attempting to commit fraud of justice.
The lawsuit comes ahead of Lindemann's first solo tour in North America, which kicks off Sept. 17 in San Antonio (Tickets available here).
