Originally dedicated exclusively to reggaetón and Latin trap, Baja Beach Fest has evolved into a dynamic celebration that fosters the convergence of urbana music and local Mexican live entertainment.
Entering its sixth year, the festival returns to the seaside shores of Rosarito, Mexico from August 9-11.
Now billed as “the reggaetón and Latin music festival,” BBF welcomes back Puerto Rican superstar Rauw Alejandro to its stage as a headliner for his show on Friday, August 9. He last appeared in 2019. The excitement continues through Saturday with 2023 star Peso Pluma leading the night's front runner. Sunday heralds the festival debut of Fuerza Regida, pioneers of the belikeada movement. Wrapping up the weekend, Colombian-American artist Kali Uchis is set to deliver a special performance on Sunday.
The festival boasts a stellar roster of returning acts, including Panamanian star Sech; Becky G from Inglewood, CA. and Puerto Rican sensations Chencho Corleone, Jhayco, Yandel, among others. Exciting newcomers set to make their debut include Puerto Rico's Omar Courtz, Xavi known for “La Diabla”, in addition to Colombian band Piso 21, Mexican American rapper Snow Tha Product and more. The event also features established names such as Jowell & Randy, De La Ghetto, as well as Argentinian singer-rapper Tiago PZK and DJ Fredy Fresco, DJ Dynamiq and DJ Miriam behind the decks.
The previous edition of the BBF marked a pivotal moment, as the festival, originally dedicated to urbana music, embraced local Mexican music, highlighting Tijuana's Grupo Firme.
Since its inception in 2018 by founders Aaron Ampudia and Chris Den Uijl, Baja Beach Fest 2024 continues to build on its legacy as a must-see event, especially for Southern Californians, with Rosarito a 45-minute drive away. the drive south of san diego. California
