It's not Halloween yet but we already have our first Black Friday deals, thanks to Record Store Day.
Every year, record stores across the country celebrate Record Story Day, a biannual celebration of physical music printed on wax. The event features exclusive, early access pressings of music, both new and old, that can only be purchased firsthand at a participating record store.
Now, organizers have shared the list of albums that will be included in the Black Friday 2024 sale. 159 titles will be available and each album is very limited, with some receiving less than 1,000 copies. Several albums will be exclusive to Record Store Day, while others will be reprinted in the future.
This year tends to favor rock music as expected, but electronic music fans will have some exclusives to look out for. A sure highlight is Boys Noize's extraordinary reimagined version of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' soundtrack for the Zendaya-directed film. Challengers The film has received an exclusive vinyl edition.
Labrinth, Sia and Diplo's group, LSD, will also have a remix album available, with just 2,000 copies on sale. ILLENIUM's second album of 2017, Awakealso received an exclusive Record Store Day release with only 3,000 copies available throughout the United States.
Outside the confines of dance music, fans can purchase vinyl from The Beatles, Billie Eilish, MF DOOM, Modest Mouse, Djo, Olivia Rodrigo, The Rolling Stones, Snoop Dogg, U2, Pearl Jam, OneRepublic, Stevie Nicks, Jimi Hendrix and many more. further.
