Rick Ross faced one of the smallest rappers in history when he feuded with 50 Cent many years ago. So it should come as no surprise that he clearly applied those lessons when he quickly responded to the bars Drake aimed at his head when 6 God dropped “Drop & Give Me 50.”
On “Drop & Give Me 50,” which leaked on Saturday (April 13) and which many initially suspected was created by AI, Drake went to Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross and The Weeknd. As for Rozay, Drake said the Miami rapper's biggest records owe a lot to his lyrical input (“I might take your last girl and handcuff her like I'm Ricky/I can't believe she's walking in, this n*gga turnin' 50/Every song that charted, got it from Drizzy, the rap Drake''
Rozay fired back on the same day with “Champagne Moments” and pulled no punches and piled on the slur, repeatedly calling Drake a “White Boy” throughout the song. “N*ggas leak their records when we talkin' straight/If we keep it gangsta, when you see me, you check me out,” Rozay spits over the dramatic instrumental.
But the chatter after the rap was more sinister as he accused Drake of sending French Montana a cease and desist letter (hence why he unfollowed him on Instagram) and even accused the Toronto rapper of getting a nose job.
In it, Drake told his mom, adding that Rozay had allegedly become racist. Okay.
But to show just how rowdy Renzel was, he wore a Drake hoodie to a performance the same night he dropped his diss song. Lawless.
And the next day (April 14) Ross continues to go inside, using Drake texting his mom about their beef as more fuel to slam “BBL Drizzy” for his alleged fake abs and calling out his crew “Pastrami Posse”.
Clearly, Renzel was ready for the smoke. Check out the “Champagne Moments” below and reactions to Rick Ross' response in the gallery.
