Rihanna couldn't be happier to be a mother to two wild young boys. After a video of RZA's son trying to climb out of his playpen went viral last month, the singer/entrepreneur spoke with Access to Hollywood about what she's learned from her kids with rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky — they also share son Riot — and what it's been like adjusting to full-time mom duty.
“It's fun, literally, I'm enjoying it so much,” said the star, who hasn't released a new album since 2016. Anti. “I just look at them and live them and I'm amazed with each new discovery of them, even with their limits. They're teaching me how to be their mom while I'm teaching them how to be in this world and guiding them as best I can.”
As for how RZA is adjusting to being a big brother, Rihanna — who's also an older sister — said it's “rough. The second his little brother cries, he's there! He falls running, crying too. He is worried. She loves him! It's just hard to share toys and pacifiers.”
Rihanna also gave props to Rocky for being named one of the co-chairs of the 2025 Met Gala, along with Pharrell Williams, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, actor Colman Domingo and honorary chairman LeBron James.
“This is probably one of my favorite topics out of all of this,” said frequent attendee RihRih of the celebration of black stately perfection from the 18th century to today titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
“I had so many incredible issues with the Met Ball that I loved, but this made me respect it so much more… It's a celebration of culture. It is also a celebration of history,” he said. “It's just bringing it to the fore on a platform where we've been kind of hidden and just accepting it.”
