The xx's Romy Collaborated With Sampha For New Song “I'm on your Team.” It comes with a video shot by British musicians at the London-based Working Artists Co-op No/Nowhere. Check it out below.
“It's a love song, but lyrically, it's honest and real,” Romy said of “I'm on Your Team,” which she and Sampha co-produced with co-producer and songwriter Thomas Bartlett. “Like, 'we had the magic and the daydreaming, but now we've been through things together, so here we are and I'm putting in the work.'
Sampha added, “I like the idea of being part of a team, that you have to show up for each other, and from there you can create an even deeper connection.”
Romy released her first solo album, Mid Airin 2023. She recently collaborated with her xx bandmates Jamie xx and Oliver Sim on the track 'Waited All Night'.
Sampha also released an album in 2023, Lachai. shared its deluxe editionwith three new tracks, earlier this month.
