“APT” by Roger and Bruno Mars. dial the no. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, becoming the first song by a western to dominate Japan's song chart in 11 and a half years.
“SUITABLE.” debuted at No. 96 on the chart released on October 23 after dropping digitally on October 18 and has continued to perform better and better, especially on streaming. Streams for the track are up 107% this week compared to last week, while downloads are up 113%, radio up 102% and video up 110%. The pop-punk duo moves up a notch to No. 1 on the Japan Hot 100 dated November 20, becoming only the fifth song by Western artists to top that chart.
The previous song of a western song that reached No. 1 on the Japan Hot 100 was The Wanted's “Glad You Came” more than a decade ago. Here is a list of the Western numbers that have reached the top so far:

The 'Kawaii dakeja damedesuka?' of CUTIE STREET? goes up 19-2. The debut single from girl group ASOBISYSTEM dropped digitally on September 8 and bowed at No. 84 of the chart dated October 16. The track gained popularity on video and streaming, topping TikTok's weekly Top 20 chart for five consecutive weeks. The CD version arrived on November 13 and sold 61,384 copies. The track comes in at No. 5 for physical sales, at No. 38 for downloads, at No. 13 for the flow and at no. 9 for video views this week.
“Otonoke” by Creepy Nuts is at No. 3. While the track holds its position from last week, the points are up: streaming has gained 105%, downloads 102%, radio airplay 159%, karaoke 104% and video is up slightly as well. Hip-hop duo “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” consisting of R-shitei and DJ Matsunaga is set to perform on NHK's famous year-end live music program, the 75th Kohaku Uta Gassen.
NEWS' “Acchi muite hoi” debuts at No. 4. The title track of their 31st single is featured as the song for the drama Takasugi-san-chi no Obentostarring member Keiichiro Koyama. Looking at chart metrics, the track set first-week sales of 137,887 copies, which is more than the group's previous single, and sits at No. 71 for downloads and at No. 12 for the radio.
Elsewhere on the Japan Hot 100, Chanmina's “FOREVER” debuts at No. 33 after reaching No. 1 for radio. The theme song for the drama Monster Produced by South Korean rapper/music producer GRAY, who also collaborated with the trilingual rapper on her fourth album Naked.
