La gente he wants reggaeton — and Ryan Castro and Blessed bring it. On Monday, the Colombian musicians, and frequent collaborators, announced that they will hit the road and “represent our people and culture” with their Ay Bendito Ghetto tour later this year.
“After seeing how the fans welcomed our tour together in Colombia, I can't wait to share the stage with Blessed once again,” Castro said in a statement. “It has always been a dream of mine to have my music heard outside of my country and with this third US tour, it shows that I am successfully exporting Colombian reggaeton to key markets.”
Taking to Instagram, the pair of artists promised the tour would be a “freakin' amazing party.”
Blessd and Castro will kick off their tour in the Bay Area on October 31st, before making stops in cities including Los Angeles, Boston, Houston and San Antonio, before wrapping up the string of shows in Orlando on December 1st. tickets for the 15 -city run will go on sale to the general public on July 12 at 10am. local time, though fans can access a presale starting Wednesday at 10 a.m. using the code BENDITOGHETTO.
The tour title plays on both of their monikers, including Castro's latest album, El Cantante del Ghetto. “We have proven that through our collaboration, great results are achieved,” Blessed added. “Both of our teams are very close and have a real bond of brotherhood because we all know each other and have worked together in the past, so the shows are going to be amazing.”
Castro and Blessd have released more than a handful of songs together, including 2020's “Lejanía,” 2022's “Quien TV Remix,” “Niña de Mis Sueños,” “Fumando” and “Envigado,” and last year's remix ” Ojitos Rojos”. . “Envigado” was included in Castro's El Cantante Del Ghetto album, released in May. Meanwhile, Blessed released two albums: BlessDeLuxury in May and Si Sabe in January.
