Ryan Gosling she's a Swiftie on screen and off — and so is his Autumn type co-star Emily Blunt. In an interview with Fandango Taking to YouTube on Tuesday (April 9), the two actors revealed their crush Taylor Swift songs while discussing their new film with director David Leitch and stuntmen Ben Jenkins and Logan Holladay.
During a scene in Autumn type — in which the Barbie The protagonist plays Colt, a stuntman who is in love with director Jody Moreno, played by Oppenheimer actor — Jody catches Colt crying while listening to the pop star's “All Too Well” alone in his car. When asked if he or his character is an older Swiftie, Gosling replied in the third person, “Oh, Ryan Gosling.”
“Oh, my God, yes,” Bland agreed, adding that she's also a Swift fan. “Who isn't?”
The two went on to share their personal favorites across the 14-time Grammy winner's discography, with Gosling revealing, “'All Too Well' has a real soft spot in my heart right now.”
“I would say 'Cruel Summer' is pretty high for me,” Blunt added.
Both of the stars' picks were widely loved by Swift's fans, with each song reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 at different times. The 10-minute version of “All Too Well” became the longest song ever to dominate the chart in 2021, and “Cruel Summer” spent four weeks at the summit in 2023, four full years after Swift's release.
