Sabrina Carpenter continues to roll out her upcoming album, Short n' Sweetwith brand new single.
The pop star took to social media on Wednesday (June 5) to announce that her track, “Please Please Please,” will arrive Thursday (June 6) at 8 p.m. ET. The song will arrive alongside a music video, which the singer teased in her post. The clip appears to find Carpenter in the midst of a whirlwind romance with a criminal.
Earlier this week, Carpenter revealed that her sixth album will arrive on August 23rd. “This project is very special to me and I hope it's something special to you too,” she wrote on social media, along with a photo of the star looking over her shoulder with a red kiss mark on her hand.
Carpenter released her viral hit “Espresso” right before she took the stage at Coachella in April. The track is currently at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs.
In February, the 25-year-old pop star confirmed in a Interview conversation with Maya Hawke said to be working on the follow-up to her fifth studio album in 2022, Email I can't send. “I feel a lot freer and more excited about what I'm making now because I've realized that genre isn't necessarily the most important thing,” she revealed. “It's about honesty and authenticity and whatever you're attracted to. There were a lot of genres on my last album and I like to think I'll continue that throughout my music writing.”
The singer's Email I can't sendwhich includes hits like “Nonsense,” “Feather” and “Because I Liked a Boy” peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 album chart, marking Carpenter's highest charting effort on the chart.
