Carpenter's sixth studio album and first leader, Short n' Sweetextends his stay at ARIA chart summit for a second week, thus denying Nick Cave a domestic leader with wild Godnew to No. 2.
It is the 14th ARIA top 10 alternative keys album and its sequel Ghosteenwhich reached No. 2 in 2019. Nick Cave's 2021 collaboration with Dirty Three frontman Warren Ellis, Slaughterit also reached No. 2.
Cave has collected eight ARIA Awards for his solo or group work, taking first place in 2013 with Push the sky awayand was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.

Carpenter completes the chart double as “Taste” reigns for a second week in the ARIA Singles Chartpublished on Friday, September 6th. “Espresso,” meanwhile, remains hot at No. 2. “Please Please Please” is at No. 4 and the Carpenters are in their fourth top 10 in the final frame as “Bed Chem” improves 11-10.
With chart-topping hits 'Espresso', 'Please Please Please' and 'Taste', the American singer and actor has logged a total of five weeks at No. 1 so far in 2024, more than any other female artist.
