No need to beg! Sabrina Carpenter unveiled her latest single, “Please Please Please,” on Thursday (June 6) along with a cinematic music video.
“Please, please, don't make me cry when I just did my makeup so beautifully,” the pop star says on the track, which features a high-action set piece directed by Bardia Zeinali and starring Carpenter's friend Barry Keogan. as the duo portray a Bonnie and Clyde-type couple navigating their love through crime and incarceration.
“Please Please Please” follows Carpenter's viral hit “Espresso,” which was released right before she took the stage at Coachella in April. The track is currently at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs.
Earlier this week, Carpenter revealed that her sixth album Short n' Sweet will arrive on August 23rd. “This project is very special to me and I hope it's special to you too,” she wrote on social media, alongside a photo of the star looking over her shoulder with a red kiss mark on her arm.
The singer's last album, 2022 Email I can't send — which includes hits like “Nonsense,” “Feather” and “Because I Liked a Boy” — peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 album chart, marking Carpenter's highest-charting effort on the chart.
