With this feat, Carpenter breaks ties with Taylor Swift Department of Tormented Poets and Billie Eilish Hit hard and soft for the title with the longest reign on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2024.
Carpenter's dominance doesn't stop there. at ARIA Singles Chart“Taste” extends its streak to a seventh consecutive week, for the longest No. 1 this year. Across her three singles, Carpenter has tallied 10 combined weeks at No. 1 in 2024.
Coldplay enjoy a hot start with Music of the Moon (Polydor/Warner), their 10th studio album. The best-seller in the UK, Music of the Moon is the top ARIA Chart debut at No. 2. Beginning in the 2000s Parachutesall of Coldplay's albums have reached No. 1 or No. 2 in Australia and have included seven chart-toppers.
Meanwhile, Australian Hall of Fame inductee Kasey Chambers rounds out the podium with Spine (MGM), her 13th studio album. It's new at No. 3. Chambers has amassed 13 ARIA Awards and five ARIA No. 1s throughout her career.
Also new is the TISM diagram Death in Art (MGM), peaking at No. 15.
